How It All Started
My short-term rental journey began in Denver, Colorado. As farmers living in a remote area of Kansas, my husband and I wanted a small place in the city—a getaway that connected us to restaurants, events, and the buzz of urban life. That home quickly turned into something unexpected: it was booked so often I could hardly ever use it myself! That success sparked something in me. I realized I’d stumbled onto an exciting new path—one that combined creativity, design, and business in a way that completely captivated me.
When Denver changed its short-term rental regulations, I began exploring other markets and followed both logic and passion to Arizona and Oregon. Today, I own a stunning five-bedroom home in Sedona—a place I’d always dreamed of—and a charming townhouse in downtown Sisters, Oregon, close to family. Owning short-term rentals has truly changed my life, opening doors to travel, new friendships, and a deep passion for real estate investing. What started as a simple second home has grown into a full-fledged love for creating beautiful, memorable spaces for others to enjoy.
