Market Overview: Mortgage rates have seen modest increases today, continuing the trend of minor fluctuations across most loan types. A generally steady bond market and investor caution ahead of upcoming inflation data keep rates in a relatively tight range, with movement driven by economic releases and signals from the Federal Reserve.
The 30-year fixed rate has hovered between 6.11% and 7.52% over the past year, and recent trends show rates remain elevated compared to pre-2022 levels, though some relief has appeared for buyers in the form of slightly lower peaks.
